Ikebukuro West Gate Park + Hiatus

First. I'm moving out tomorrow so I won't have any access to the internet for a while, because god knows how slow they can be for that kind of stuff. Wish me luck?

Second. Ishida Ira's Ikebukuro West Gate Park. I finally read that second book and fell in love all over again. (and was convinced all over again that Narita Ryohgo got some inspiration from there to write Durarara!!, just like I'm convinced he knows the authors of Kara no Kyoukai but that's another story and I digress ^^)
So, gathering all of my courage I went to look for the drama and .... finished the drama.

That was hard. Because it's a bad adaptation. I should have known better than to hope for something awesome. And I pretty much hate the actor who plays the main guy and don't understand the changes in the story and/or in the characters' personnalities nor do I get the unncessary emphasis on love stories. And they didn't adapt my favorite part of the books.
So yeah, bad drama, baaaaad. (Then again the only dramas I really liked are Gokusen and Life)

The books on the other hand are really awesome.
When you're reading them you get the feeling you are in the city, you're right there observing everything that happens and the only thing you wish is to never stop reading.
It's composed of collections of short stories with the same recuring characters, mostly 4 of them though, the main guy, Majima Makoto, his badass mother, and two of his friends, the ex-bullied-now-successfull-yakuza Saru and the boss of the biggest color gang out there, Ando Takashi.

It's a book that can be read very fast, written in a very easily understandable style and very catchy, almost like a polar except less dark than a polar.
It feels real, that's the best part of the book. The characters are feeling exactly what every person of their/my age is feeling.

All I can say is that I can't wait for the thirs book to be released.

[Figure review]HMO Miku

I wish I knew how to write a figure review, unfortunately I don't and probably won't buy many figures in the next months to make up for my lack of knowledge and train, so bear with me?

All of my figures so far are Nendoroids or just chibi versions, that should tell enough about my motives to buy figures, sure there's the fact I (often) love the character but I like pretty things so when I went out of my last exam and saw that pretty HMO Miku (when I don't even care that much for Vocaloids) I couldn't resist.

Could anyone say no to this smile?
On top of that, since she's a Nendoroid, she's really well made, even the lower parts of her hairs move. (Don't  laugh at me but really I'm amazed by that fact and it amuses me greatly to move them whenever I have her in my hands). You can even remove her ahoge.
She comes with a lot, a whole lot of different parts and accesories too. 3 faces, 2 pairs of headphones, 4 hands and 4 sleeves, 2 negi (if anyone know how you say that in English I'd be thankful forever), a flute, 2 pianos and a complete drum set.

I have however two (very little) problems with mine.
First, one of her tail falls whenever I move her a bit too violently and second the base. Oh goddamnit the base, there's no way I'll ever manage to connect this thing to her back. No way.
But I have had this problem with all Nendoroids I own, especially the Puchi, I needed to get my brother's help to make them stand and BRS is forever sitting for this reason.
Well I don't mind as long as they stand.

As usual, I'm in love. I become weaker and weaker everytime I buy one -___-

[Cosplay]Mami

I usually don't talk nor care very much about cosplay aside from being in awe in front of some costumes and cosplayers. Simply put I admire from afar but don't do any effort to look for pretty ones.
However sometimes I come accross things like this and think that really the internet is a wonderful place and cosplayers are amazing.

The end of an era!

Damn, another long time without a post, this time I have an excuse though, finals got in the way and as soon as  had finished them, I got sick. ANYWAY, this is good news because I am now free forever from the hell that was Uni. On the other hand I have not the slightest idea about what the hell I could do with my life from now on.
Oh, well, guess it'll come to me one day or another.
(I wish blogging could be a job for me, or at least journalism, but I'm definitely too shy to get into that field and I probably would be uninspired most of the time anyway)

As a result though I have a moutain of things to catch up on.
Unread mangas are piling up on my bedside table. It includes : Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 11, Dogs 05, March Story 02, Drifters 01, Bloody Monday 05 and a few others.
Akiba Manga is on the verge of disappearing, which I totally don't want, I love that magazine and the mangakas are adorable.
Ikebukuro West Gate Park II wants to be read too.
HMO Miku is bored in her box and wants someone to play with.
I have a backlog of late translations I owe.
I'm hoping to go there at the end of the month and possibly see Miyavi in July (but considering I don't care about Miyavi, I'll see)

Strangely enough, the only thing I'm up to date with are animes.
All of that was to say : expect more stuff in the next days.
